A searchable directory of amateur radio services on 44Net
44Dex is a human-submitted directory of services that amateur radio operators host on 44Net. 44Net is the IPv4 address space reserved for amateur radio, also called AMPRNet, managed by Amateur Radio Digital Communications.
The layout follows the first generation of web directories: a subject tree, a short listing, and a form to add a site. There is no account system. The add form is not shown unless you are already connected from a 44Net IPv4 address. A listing must be submitted under an amateur call sign, and the listed host must be a 44Net IPv4 address or a name under ampr.org. The 44Net address you connect from is stored with the listing. Amateur Radio Digital Communications allocates those addresses. If a listing is abused, that address can be given to ARDC so they can identify the operator of that assignment. To change or remove a listing, visit 44Dex from that same address. Edit and delete links then appear next to the listing. Another address cannot change it.
The HTML is a single document per page, with no external style sheets, fonts, images, or scripts, so a 1200-baud or 9600-baud IP path can load a category without waiting on extra files. The plain-text view is meant for terminal and packet sessions.
This copy is operated by W5ITR as a demonstration host. Listings are the operator's responsibility. Do not submit commercial services, cameras of private property, or anything that does not belong on amateur radio address space.
